Description
The design is an application demo for Sòless, a line of sugar-free confectionery. The application functions as a means of donating candy to diabetic camps. New camps are chosen each week, and in return for the participants' gratuity, they receive a small portion back. The more the user donates, the more they become involved.
Communication objective
The project is an application demo for Sòless, a new line of sugar-free chocolates, to be displayed and sold in upscale grocery stores. The application functions as a means of donating candy to diabetic camps. New camps are chosen each week. The design and functionality of the application is derived from the packaging itself. Each box, wrapper or bag, utilizes interesting ways of opening the package, which is made possible through the dynamic angle in the mark. The peel-away or slide-out openings demonstrate the act of removing sugar, and fills the consumer with the emotion of actually doing it. The application ensures the acceptance of a small reward, which in turn, generates an even greater outcome, for the camps chosen.
Tools used
Storyboards were built with Adobe Illustrator. Later, the files were imported into After Effects. The page-turn effect was used to imitate the functionality of the packaging. Masks, opacity, position, and style shifts simulate that the application is being used. Adobe After Effects was used for cutting and editing the introductory video.
